Module 1 of The Empowered DA series

As a Dental Assistant, your impact goes far beyond clinical support. Every interaction you have can shape how a patient feels, the trust they place in the dental team, and their overall experience of the practice.

In this module, you'll explore what it means to be an empowered Dental Assistant and the mindset, communication skills and professional behaviours that help create exceptional patient experiences.

Through a series of short, facilitated lessons, you'll learn how to recognise the emotions that may sit beneath a patient's words or behaviour, respond with empathy, and communicate confidence and professionalism through both verbal and non-verbal cues.

You'll also explore the psychology of influence and how principles such as association, reciprocation, liking, social proof, authority and scarcity can be applied thoughtfully and ethically throughout the patient journey.

Along the way, you'll be encouraged to reflect on your own approach and consider small, practical changes you can make to strengthen patient trust, connection and confidence.

To receive your CPD Points and Certificate of Completion, participants must complete each step of the learning journey:

Complete all 3 modules within the series.

Complete the 3 knowledge checks within each module and achieve a score of 80%.

* You have unlimited attempts.
